Bus

Based on the outcomes of a comprehensive study of Bahrain’s transportation needs, the MTT launched a revamped bus service in the Kingdom in April 2015, with a full upgrade of the network to increase users and coverage.

Under the new service, 25 bus routes now serve most of the suitably populated areas in Bahrain, linking the governorates together.

The new service is operated under a concession agreement the Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC), a joint venture between UK based National Express and Bahrain based Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali (AMA).
