HE the Minister of Transportation Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed praised the pioneering role that the Gulf Aviation Academy plays in building qualified calibre and its contribution towards developing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s aviation sector as evidenced by the leading regional role that the Kingdom plays in the aviation sector. HE the Minister congratulated the Chairman of Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) Captain Ishaq Rashid Al Kooheji and the new board members during a meeting at the Ministry of Transportation’s Civil Aviation Affairs headquarters.

His Excellency also affirmed the Ministry of Transportation’s commitment in providing support towards building the industry’s technical and human capital through the provision of opportunities to Bahrainis, thereby enabling them to perform their duties and proactively engage in the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields.

His Excellency wished the new board members success in their newly appointed duties and in boosting the Kingdom’s profile in the field of aviation.

As the regulator of the aviation industry, the Ministry of Transportation’s Civil Aviation Affairs continues to works closely with various stakeholders from the private and public sector in order to increase collaboration and strengthen ties with its partners so as to ensure that its strategic objectives are achieved for the overall goal of further improving performance of the industry and encouraging investment and job opportunities that aim to increase the contribution of the civil aviation sector in the economy.
