Bahrain Post Issues Commemorative Stamps on the Occasion of Bahrain’s Insurance Day 2013

Bahrain Post, part of the Ministry of Transportation, has issued three commemorative stamps on the occasion of Bahrain’s Insurance Day 2013 which was celebrated on the 26th of March 2013.

Bahrain Post, part of the Ministry of Transportation, has issued three commemorative stamps on the occasion of Bahrain’s Insurance Day 2013 which was celebrated on the 26th of March 2013.

The stamps are crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa – the King of Bahrain and aimed to extend appreciation of the continuous efforts of the insurance industry that aims to position Bahrain to be a regional insurance hub. It is worth noting that Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) is the first society representing the financial services industry which received its charter in 1993 and became operational as a society in 1994.The society was initially under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Affairs and was later transferred to fall under the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). The society currently has 48 members comprising of local insurance companies, foreign insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers, and service providers.

The launch of the new commemorate stamps is in-line with BIA’s objective to increase insurance awareness amongst the general public and are available in 100 fils, 200 fils, and 250 fils denominations and are available in all Bahrain Post branches.
