The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Bahrain Post is proud  to issue a set of four commemorative stamps crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, on the occasion of Bahrain’s 49th National Day celebrated on December 16. The  new stamps commemorate the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783 as well as the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne.
