Bus

Based on the outcomes of a comprehensive study of Bahrain’s transportation needs, the MTT launched a revamped bus service in the Kingdom in April 2015, with a full upgrade of the network to increase users and coverage.

Under the new service, 23 bus routes now serve 77% of the populated areas in Bahrain, linking the governorates together.

The new service is operated under a concession agreement the Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC), a joint venture between UK based National Express and Bahrain based Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali (AMA).
