The Kingdom of Bahrain Ministry of Transportation (MoT) will host the 18th preparatory meeting of Undersecretaries of Transportation Ministries and Presidents of the relevant Authorities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the 17th Ministerial meeting of Ministers of Transportation of the GCC being held September 28-30th 2013. His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, will be chairing the Ministerial meeting.

The meetings will include a two day preparatory meeting chaired by MoT Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs Her Excellency Engineer Mariam Ahmed Jumaan, which will discuss the recommendations and proposals to be raised to the Ministerial meeting on 30th September.

The important topics expected to be discussed are the GCC Railway project, road and transportation infrastructure, maritime transportation, strategic dialogue between the GCC MS and the different Economic Blocs and States as well as other topics of common importance.
