The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Meteorological Directorate reported in their monthly weather summary that the month of February 2019 was warmer than normal in temperatures with below average precipitation and relative humidities.

The mean temperature of the month was 19.1°C which is 1.2°C above the long-term normal for February.

The mean maximum temperature of the month was 22.0°C which is 0.8°C above the long-term normal. The highest temperature recorded during the month was 26.3°C which occurred on the 27th of February at Bahrain International Airport but recorded 27.6°C on the 16th of February at Durrat Al Bahrain.

The mean minimum temperature of the month was 16.6°C which is 1.7°C above the long-term normal. The lowest temperature recorded was 14.8°C set on the 8th of February at Bahrain International Airport but recorded 11.1°C on the 5th of February at Durrat Al Bahrain.

The mean relative humidity for February was 65% whereas the mean maximum relative humidity was 79% and the mean minimum relative humidity was 49%.

A total of 6.6 mm of precipitation was reported on February 2019 at Bahrain International Airport. Trace amounts of precipitation were recorded on the 22nd and 23rd of February, the long-term mean total precipitation for the month of February is 16.2 mm. The highest monthly total precipitation ever recorded during February was 106.8 mm recorded on February 1988 at Bahrain International Airport.

The total precipitation recorded for February 2019 at Sitra Island was 12.4 mm whereas the total precipitation at King Fahd Causeway was 8.0 mm and at Durrat Al Bahrain was 6.0 mm.

The prevailing wind was 35% from northwest direction. Easterly to Southeasterly winds accounted 32% of the observation with gusts reaching 33 knots on the 27th of February at Bahrain International Airport.
