Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met with Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the State of Qatar.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and development partnerships with Qatar in digital infrastructure, technological innovation, and cybersecurity. He highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise in digital transformation and AI to support sustainable development in both countries.

He highlighted the achievements of both nations in the telecommunications and IT sectors and their regional and global standing in innovation, digital economy, and smart governance. The minister emphasized the alignment of these efforts with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and Qatar’s National Vision 2030. He commended the successful organization of the second edition of the "Web Summit Qatar", which attracted broad international participation.

Both ministers discussed cooperation in digital transformation, AI, and cloud computing, as well as investment support, expertise exchange, and best practices in infrastructure development, technology adoption, and workforce capacity building. They also highlighted the importance of strategic integration within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) framework to enhance the digital economy and sustainable growth.

On his part, Al Mannai emphasized Qatar’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation with Bahrain to serve mutual interests and advance digital transformation and ICT infrastructure development. He wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
