The transportation, telecommunications, and postal sectors play a pivotal role in economic development as they contribute towards the growth of other economic sectors and in improving the quality of life for citizens.

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications is committed to achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision (PDF, 279 KB), which provides a clear direction for the continued development of the Kingdom’s economy based on three guiding principles; sustainability, fairness, and competitiveness, by providing a sustainable transportation system that is at par with international standards. The Ministry is also committed to further developing the transportation and telecommunication infrastructure to meet the current and future needs of citizens and residents.
