Bahrain Chairs GCC Telecommunications Legislation and Regulation Committee Meeting

Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Telecommunications at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, chaired the Legislation and Regulation of Telecommunications Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting, held via video conference.

The meeting discussed current developments related to telecommunications infrastructure in light of ongoing Iranian attacks on GCC countries, alongside broader regional and international developments in the telecommunications sector.

Participants also reviewed the level of preparedness across GCC states and telecommunications operators, as well as approved business continuity plans to address operational challenges in telecom services, with the aim of maintaining the continuity and efficiency of vital services.
