As per Clause No. (3) of Ministerial Order No. 1 of 2017 for taxis and call taxis, licenses are issued through an auction. To obtain a Taxi/Call Taxi license, applicants (companies) must secure the minimum number of Operating Cards via auction and meet all other requirements outlined in the Ministerial Order. In cooperation with Mazad W.L.L., the Ministry regularly auctions Taxi operating cards through their online auction system, “Arabian Auction.”
